Reconstructing a Graph from its Arc Incidence Graph
Introduced implicitly by Brualdi and Massey [3] in their work on the strong chromatic index of multigraphs, the arc incidence graph AI(G) of a graph G is defined as the square of the line graph of the incidence graph of G. We describe a linear-time algorithm for recognizing arc incidence graphs and reconstructing a graph with no isolated vertices from its arc incidence graph.
متن کاملA Fractional Order Integral Approach for Reconstructing from Noisy Data
Computed tomography (CT) plays an important role in many applications.Recently, total variation(TV) minimization has become a main topic in image reconstruction. This paper focuses on iterative algorithm: SART and EM in both of TV and ordered subset. Iterative reconstruction is an improved algorithm for reconstructing image from noisy projection data. However, image noise will increase after some...
متن کاملA Business Model to Detect Disease Outbreaks
Introduction: Every year several disease outbreaks, such as influenza-like illnesses (ILI) and other contagious illnesses, impose various costs to public and non-government agencies. Most of these expenses are due to not being ready to handle such disease outbreaks. An appropriate preparation will reduce the expenses. A system that is able to recognize these outbreaks can earn ...
متن کاملReconstructing disease transmission dynamics from animal movements and test data
Disease outbreaks are often accompanied by a wealth of data, usually in the form of movements, locations and tests. This data is a valuable resource in which data scientists and epidemiologists can reconstruct the transmission pathways and parameters and thus devise control strategies. However, the spatiotemporal data gathered can be both vast whilst at the same time incomplete or contain error...
متن کاملA Graph-Based Clustering Approach to Identify Cell Populations in Single-Cell RNA Sequencing Data
Introduction: The emergence of single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) technology has provided new information about the structure of cells, and provided data with very high resolution of the expression of different genes for each cell at a single time. One of the main uses of scRNA-seq is data clustering based on expressed genes, which sometimes leads to the detection of rare cell populations. ...
